Central Texas on southeastern margin of Edwards Plateau.
Habitats
Found in waters in underground limestone caves.
Identification
Translucent skin with a whitish, pinkish, yellowish appearance. Head is large and displays a flat snout. Finned tail and long limbs; gills are red and external. Total length of adults ranges up to 8.5 cm (3.4 in). Classified as threatened species due to water source contamination threat in habitat.
