Identification
Anaxyrus nevadensis is part of the Anaxyrus boreas complex. This species is easily recognized by its creamy-white dorsal stripe that runs down the center of its back and its dry, bumpy skin and horizontal pupils. It is smaller than other species in the complex but best distinguished by range.
