Range
Found exclusively within Tulare County in central California in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Habitats
Riparian woodlands and coniferous forests of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, within the watershed of the Kaweah River.
Identification
Small, slim body with short limbs and very long tail. Four toes on each foot. Dark brown or black color with a rust or brown dorsal stripe, occasionally not present. Ventral side grey. White mottled spotting throughout body. Body length is between 1.25 and 1.75 inches long, not including tail. Tail often as long, if not longer than body.
