Range
This salamander is a resident of the eastern Gulf Coastal Plain in the southeastern United States. Its range stretches from the Mobile Bay region of Alabama westward through the southern half of Mississippi to eastern Louisiana. There's also a possibility of its presence further east in Baldwin and Mobile counties of Alabama, though this requires confirmation.
