Adult body length up to 6 inches long. Dark brown to black body with yellow, tan, or greenish-yellow stripe running down dorsal side of body. Slate colored ventral side with small orange to yellow spots.
Range
Found throughout western Oregon, range extends north into Washington and south into California.
Habitat
Semi-aquatic. Found on stream banks and spring seepages within forests.
Variations
Melanistic individuals occur with black body lacking dorsal striping.
