Range
Primarily found throughout the Appalachian mountain range and neighboring regions of the United States. Prevalent in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Habitat
Semi-Aquatic. Often found in rocky habitats including caves and outcroppings, generally seen tucked into tree or rock crevices. Can be seen in other damp environments amongst bark, logs, and detritus.
Variations
Dorsal coloring varies from brown to black to grey with green. Ventral coloring varies from pale yellow to bluish grey.
