Range
Primarily found throughout the Appalachian mountain range and neighboring regions of the United States. Prevalent in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Habitats
Semi-Aquatic. Often found in rocky habitats including caves and outcroppings, generally seen tucked into tree or rock crevices. Can be seen in other damp environments amongst bark, logs, and detritus.
Identification
Elongated body with mottled green & grey/black/brown coloration with light undersides varying from grey to yellow. Adults are between 3 to 5 inches long. Females larger than males.
