Range
Southeastern United States. Range starts on western edge of Texas, east and north to South Carolina, south into Florida.
Habitats
Aquatic. Found in most waterways in the region such as rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, swamps, and marshes.
Identification
Adult length of 3.25-5.5 inches long. Appearance is similar to a bullfrog with narrow, pointed head and fully webbed hind feet. Coloration occurs in shades of olive green to blackish-brown with black spots. Ventral side white or pale yellow with net-like patterning occurring in brown, grey, and black.
