Range
Central & Northern California, Northern Nevada, Central & Eastern Oregon, Western Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Southern British Columbia.
Habitats
Terrestrial (adults). Great variety in habitats, found in forests, grasslands, streams, pastures, and urban zones. Often far from water sources during breeding season.
Identification
Adult length ranges from 0.75 to 2 inches long. Small body size with large head & eyes. Thin waist, long & slender legs. Smooth skin occurring in green or brown, occasionally tan, grey, reddish, or cream. Underside pale with yellow under back legs. Distinctive dark vertical stripe running through eyes, from nostrils to shoulders.
